Nicole Moudaber plays Halloween night, and Soul Clap’s Friday set with DJ E-Cology is billed as the duo’s last together.

PURGATORY at Refuge runs from Thursday, Oct 29, to Sunday, Nov 1, at 366 Ten Eyck St in Brooklyn. The Halloween programme has six parties over four days, according to the club’s official Eventbrite listings. “Six parties. Four days. No way out,” the organisers write. Dancing Astronaut reported the full line-up on Oct 21.

A last Soul Clap set together

Friday may carry extra meaning for longtime fans. Dancing Astronaut reports that Soul Clap’s Eli Goldstein and Charles Levine are splitting after 25 years. Levine will continue as Soul Clap, the outlet says. Their set with DJ E-Cology at Refuge will be the final time the two share a booth, according to Dancing Astronaut.

The same report says Victor Calderone holds a residency at the club. It describes Anthony Middleton as part of Audiofly, and Mira as Berlin-based.

About the club

Refuge describes itself on Eventbrite as a 500-capacity club inside a 200-year-old industrial compound, with a four-point analogue sound system. Dancing Astronaut says PURGATORY at Refuge will use both the main room and the courtyard. The club has no tables, no roped-off areas and no bottle service, the outlet adds. It also notes that Refuge recently marked its first birthday.

Tickets for PURGATORY at Refuge are on Eventbrite, with one page per party. For more on the club, see our earlier trance feature, which mentions Refuge.
