The two-day, 18+ event takes over Ace*Mission in downtown LA. The lineup is still to come, and pre-registration is open now.
A State of Trance, Armin van Buuren’s trance brand, will hold its first US festival in Los Angeles on June 11-12, 2027. The two-day event takes place at Ace*Mission in downtown LA, according to the official A State of Trance Los Angeles page. DJ Mag reports that ASOT is working with Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella on the event. For US trance fans, it means a full ASOT festival at home instead of a trip to Rotterdam.
A State of Trance Los Angeles: what we know
The festival is for ages 18 and over, the official page says. The lineup has not been announced yet. Instead, fans can pre-register to get ticket access and the first lineup news. There are no ticket prices yet.
DJ Mag reports that the event will have multiple stages. In his announcement video, van Buuren said the LA festival was “two years in the making,” DJ Mag reports. He also called it “(probably) the most-requested show” ASOT has had.
Why the US debut matters
The LA edition continues a run of new ASOT cities. In June, the brand held its first festivals in Hong Kong and Vietnam, according to DJ Mag. Earlier in the year, it marked its 25th anniversary at its flagship Rotterdam edition in February.
The move also fits a wider trance revival. We traced that comeback in our feature Trance Never Died. In addition, the Insomniac link adds to a busy week for the US promoter. It also announced a Las Vegas industry summit with ADE. Before that, Time Warp started a label inside Insomniac Music Group.
Before LA: ASOT in London
Fans in Europe do not have to wait until June. A State of Trance celebrates 25 years at Drumsheds in London on Saturday, Nov 14, according to the Drumsheds event page. That lineup includes Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Cosmic Gate.
We will add A State of Trance Los Angeles to our events calendar and update this story when the lineup and tickets arrive.
