Martin Garrix sets March 5, 2027, for ‘MARTY’, a 14-track album with his own vocals

Garrix confirmed Madonna, U2, Ed Sheeran and Aitana as guests in Rolling Stone. His second album under his own name lands three weeks before he ends his Americas tour at Ultra Miami.

Martin Garrix will release ‘MARTY’, a 14-track album, on March 5, 2027, via STMPD Records/Darkroom Records. He announced it on Tuesday, Oct 20, during a secret DJ set at P60 in Amstelveen, hosted with Spotify, EDM.com reports from the event. About 450 people were there, according to local outlet 1Amstelveen. The next day, Garrix shared the release date on X. He sings on the album himself. For one of dance music’s biggest names, it marks a clear move toward pop.

What we know about Martin Garrix’s MARTY

The title comes from Garrix’s first DJ alias, DJ Marty. The opener, “Catharina,” is a tribute to his mother, Billboard reports. It also starts the album’s story, with each track as a new chapter.

Garrix confirmed Madonna, U2, Ed Sheeran and Aitana as guests in an interview with Rolling Stone. The final tracklist is not out yet, and Rolling Stone says more names will follow. Aitana comes next. “@Aitanax single up next!!” Garrix wrote on X. Rolling Stone says she appears on his first song in Spanish, which has no title yet. He already released “Fireflies” with U2 this year. The latest single is “This Dream of You,” which arrived earlier this month.

‘MARTY’ is his second album under his own name, after 2022’s ‘SENTIO’, DJ Mag and EDM.com report. Still, the album is billed as his debut pop album. Garrix calls ‘SENTIO’ a club album and ‘MARTY’ his first pop album, Rolling Stone reports.

Garrix on growing up in public

Garrix framed the album as a record about growth. “Even though I’ve been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I’m just at the beginning,” he said in a statement quoted by Billboard and DJ Mag. He added that the album is about “moving through different chapters of life.”

At the Spotify show, Garrix previewed several new songs, according to Billboard. DJ Mag adds that he swapped big visuals and pyrotechnics for archive clips and photos of himself as a child and young DJ.

MusicRadar also looks back at his early career in a new piece. It says the album finds Garrix on lead vocals for the first time.

A Miami release window

The timing points straight at Miami. Garrix starts the next leg of his Americas tour on Oct 31 at OMNIA in Las Vegas. After dates in Central and South America, he closes it at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, which runs March 26-28, Billboard reports. So ‘MARTY’ lands three weeks before Miami Music Week.
