The final ranking, revealed on Oct 19, is based on DJ support, not fan votes. Guetta also topped DJ Mag’s fan-voted Top 100 DJs poll this month.
David Guetta is the No. 1 producer in 1001Tracklists’ Top 101 Producers 2026. Armin van Buuren is No. 2 and Max Styler is No. 3, according to the official ranking. 1001Tracklists’ media account @1001TLtv named Guetta No. 1 on X at 3 PM ET on Monday, Oct 19, and posted the full list 19 minutes later. That was two days before Amsterdam Dance Event began. The ranking counts which producers’ tracks DJs actually played, so it works as a check on popularity polls. Earlier this month, Guetta also won DJ Mag’s fan-voted Top 100 DJs.
The Top 101 Producers 2026 Top 10
- No. 1: David Guetta
- No. 2: Armin van Buuren
- No. 3: Max Styler
- No. 4: Vintage Culture
- No. 5: Argy
- No. 6: GENESI
- No. 7: MEDUZA
- No. 8: ARTBAT
- No. 9: Anyma
- No. 10: Prospa, this year’s highest new entry
Last year, Max Styler won. By our comparison with the 2025 ranking, he was No. 1 in 2025, while Guetta was No. 4 and Armin van Buuren No. 8. ARTBAT were No. 2 and Anyma No. 7 last year, so both slipped this time.
How the ranking works
The list is not a public vote. Instead, 1001Tracklists counts “unique DJ support” from qualifying DJs in its database. The 2026 edition covers Oct 1, 2025, to Sep 30, 2026. A track needs support from at least three DJs to count. Then each producer’s 24 top-scoring tracks make up their total, per the methodology page.
In other words, the ranking shows which tracks DJs played and logged on 1001Tracklists. It does not measure sales, streams or ticket demand.
Two rankings, one winner
By contrast, DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs works the other way. Fans vote, and this year they named Guetta No. 1 for the sixth time. So the same artist now leads both a fan poll and a ranking built on DJ play data.
This is also Guetta’s fourth Top 101 Producers win. He topped the 2019, 2022 and 2023 editions as well.
Further down, ALOK is No. 14. He rose 14 places to a career high, according to 1001Tracklists’ media account @1001TLtv on X.
Nos. 11 to 20 and other big names
Next, Chris Lake opens the second group at No. 11. After him come Volkoder (No. 12, debut), AFROJACK (No. 13), ALOK (No. 14), CamelPhat (No. 15) and Wh0 (No. 16). Chris Lorenzo, Adam Beyer, Skytech and Benny Benassi complete the Top 20.
However, several major names sit much lower. Tiësto is No. 58, and John Summit is No. 75. By our comparison, they were No. 10 and No. 11 in 2025. Meanwhile, Hardwell is No. 79 and Fred again.. returns at No. 89. Alesso is No. 91, his first appearance since 2019, the post says.
Before the reveal, the countdown ran on X one name at a time. It started with D.O.D at No. 101.
The Future of Dance and the ADE party
1001Tracklists published the Top 101 alongside The Future of Dance 2026, a separate, unranked list of 101 artists. We covered that list on Oct 19. Both lists get a celebration at Club Panama in Amsterdam on Thursday, Oct 22, during ADE.
