The UK DJ and producer says SYREN is meant to build “a culture, a community,” with roots in house music’s foundations.
SYREETA has launched her own label, SYREN, with a collaboration with Detroit house figure DJ Minx. Their single “All Night Thing” came out on Oct 16, according to Apple Music and EARMILK.
SYREETA is a London-based DJ and producer, born in Birmingham, DJ Mag reports. Her releases have also appeared on labels including Nervous, Crosstown Rebels, HE.SHE.THEY. and Edible, according to EARMILK. She is also a resident at the HE.SHE.THEY. party series, DJ Mag notes.
What SYREETA wants SYREN to be
EARMILK describes SYREN as a fully independent house and techno label. “SYREN is just how I hear music,” SYREETA told DJ Mag. “Emotion, groove, that feeling when a record takes over the room. I want to build something made to last, a culture, a community, not just a moment or a trend.”
In practice, the label’s output will range from deep, soulful grooves to darker, more technical sounds, EARMILK reports. In addition, SYREETA plans to carry the label’s siren theme, the power of the voice, into its visuals, releases and parties.
Why DJ Minx
Opening with DJ Minx is a statement of intent. Minx has been part of Detroit club culture since the early 1990s, EARMILK notes. She also founded Women on Wax, a collective and label that supports women DJs and producers from Detroit.
“DJ Minx is a Detroit legend, someone who’s been part of house music’s foundation,” SYREETA told DJ Mag. “This label is about going back to that foundation and building something real from it.”
As for the record itself, EARMILK hears a dense, rolling bassline and hushed vocals that call everyone to the dancefloor. Then layered percussion pushes it into a more hypnotic groove.
Minx has stayed busy, too. For example, her Energy EP came out in February 2026, according to DJ Mag.
“All Night Thing,” the collaboration between SYREETA and DJ Minx, is out now on SYREN.
