Mochakk and Channel Tres team up on “Neckwear”

Brazilian producer Mochakk and Compton’s Channel Tres have released their first collaboration, “Neckwear”. The single came out on October 16 on Mochakk’s label, MOTRAXX Records, and his official Audiomack page credits the release “courtesy of Bose Records”.

DJ Mag describes the track as a meeting of Channel Tres’ self-described “Compton house” with Mochakk’s groove-led production. EDMTunes hears an opening run of hi-hats and claps that drops into a heavy, big-room percussion groove, with Channel Tres delivering in his familiar laid-back baritone.

The Bose connection

The Bose Records credit is part of a new partnership between Mochakk and the audio brand, according to EDMTunes, which reports that he will also play an invite-only show in Amsterdam as part of a new Bose live music series. The terms of the partnership have not been made public. It is one of several brand tie-ins in dance music this week, alongside Charlotte de Witte’s new role as a Tudor ambassador.

Two different routes to the same dancefloor

Mochakk, born Pedro Maia, broke through internationally in 2023 with “Jealous” on Circoloco Records and remains part of the Circoloco family at DC-10 in Ibiza, EDMTunes notes. DJ Mag points to a busy 2026: a Coachella appearance in April, a homecoming show in São Paulo and, earlier in the year, a remix of Nina Simone’s “See-Line Woman”.

Channel Tres has spent several years developing a sound that runs Chicago house and Detroit techno through West Coast rap attitude, and has collaborated with Tyler, The Creator, Disclosure and Robyn, according to EDMTunes. The pairing makes sense on paper: both artists build their records around percussion and swagger rather than big melodic drops.

What’s next

Mochakk plays Amsterdam’s Gashouder on October 23 as part of Amsterdam Dance Event, which runs from October 21 to 25. “Neckwear” is out now on streaming platforms.
